Not sure what Kite? Board? Package? to buy
Not sure what package to by? One kite quiver? Two kite quiver? C kites or Flat Kites? What kind of kite quiver will best suit your size and local wind conditions? What size and style of board? We had all these questions once before ourselves. Hope this helps.
If your just starting out and don’t want to dish out a lot of money and want to try and get away with one kite. Our recommendation is to go with the Ocean Rodeo-One Kite.
Lets sum this kite up briefly then we’ll explain:
Safest style of kites on the market(flatter profiled kite)
Huge Wind Rage
100% De-power(Flatter Profile)
Huge Air Time
Very Durable
Turns Faster
Single Point Inflation
Priced Well
Recent surveys show that 70% of kites being bought now are the new Flatter profiled kites and 30% are the traditional style kites
Let us begin.
The Ocean Rodeo – 2007 ONE Kite

Ocean Rodeo – One stands for just that a “one kite quiver”. They built a kite that can go in all but the very worst conditions. These ONE flat kites, in our opinion, are the safest of all flats and C kites out there. These kites are safe for there easy ability to handle heavy gusts, have a great ejection system to get you away from the kites power if need be, and 100% de-power which means you can take the power off the kite simply by pushing the bar out(sheating out). As well as being safe, the ONE has a huge wind rage and these kites are known for its easy ability to get huge air time with lots of loft. You can now spend more time on the water because this bad boy has the new Single Point Inflation system for faster set up. With all of this said these Ocean Rodeo kites are known for being very tough and very durable. This kite is the new generation of Flat SLE’s. Which means it’s a Flatter profiled kite by looking at it and it’s a Supported Leading Edge (bridal system). Keep in consideration that when we say safe we mean that you have the knowledge, have taken lessons and you know how to properly launch and fly a kite. We don’t mean you can just buy a kite, throw it up in the air and just fly it. That is totally unsafe for the fact that you have never experienced flying a kite before. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to fly one but you do need some instructing and some seat time to do it safely and properly.
The Ocean Rodeo – 2007 DIABLO Kite
Want a competition kite or just like the traditional C-shape kite because your just not sold on the new flat kites. Well you’ve found it. This kite is your more traditional C-Shape Kite with out the old traditional handling. This bad boy turns, rips and cuts through the window on command, and sends you for those big air wake style power tricks and will blow your mind. Not convinced try our fly before you buy policy. You have to come see us at the store and we’ll let you fly it yourself before you buy it to prove it to yourself. The Diablo this year has a static 5th line to keep that leading edge stable and the new cam cleat system for de-powering your kite with out having to reach half way up your kite lines to get to the de-power strap. The diablois also equipped with the very user friendly ejection system if you do get into trouble. The Diablo is also going to get you on the water faster with its Single Point Inflation system for faster set up. To sum the Diablo up it’s a C-Shape that Turns Incredibly fast, rips through the wind window like no other, very tough, Very Durable and price well to boot.

TIP TO TAIL FLEX AND TORSION FLEX
Computer engineered progressive flex pattern blended to the board’s concave makes for a stiffer ride under your feet. Rider controlled input translates to more turning output. A fast, responsive ride!
CENTER STANCE
The Zen allows the rider to choose their appropriate stance. Whether you are riding powered up on your back foot or hip forward the Zen is versatile.
BOMBPROOF
Kinda self explanatory… it’s designed and built to take the abuse!
GRAB ZONES
4x grab areas are finished with a clear, sure-grip finish. It’s like skatedeck tape!
GRAB ZONES
Recessed grab zones… you know, for grabbing. .
CONCAVE
The best of both worlds… a concave center and flat tips. Concave adds bite, edging and hold. The Flat tails allow the board to slide out… making the transition to switch easier. Concave also eliminates the need for a large board width… avoiding large transitions from heel-side to toe-side turns.
ACCESSORIES
1. Tri Density foot pads are comfortable and allow very quick in and outs!
2. Adjustable foot straps allow you to find the sweet spot.
3. Grab handle: grab it! It’s that simple.
4. G10 fins deliver more traction. Light-weight and durable.
5. G0-Joe compatible!
2007 Mako Pro
New for 2007!
Keeping with the Mako tradition, the Pro 134 feature’s a massive 18mm of concave resulting in a smooth ride with superior upwind and carving performance. Thanks to the shorter 134cm length riders of all levels will benefit from the reduced swing weight in transitions and complex jumps.
Load it, send it, RIDE IT!
LENGTH/WIDTH
134 cm / 36.5 cm
CARVE / BOOST
TIP TO TAIL FLEX AND TORSION FLEX
Computer engineered flex pattern dialed to the board’s concave = smooth ride
CENTER STANCE
Like the original Mako 150, the 134 excels when ridden with equal weight on both feet while working upwind. Due to its shorter length, more back foot pressure is required than the original Mako to keep the concave engaged at high speed. The Mako is designed to be ridden off its rails, as it relies on its profile and bottom shape/concave for traction, not it’s fins. It has a huge amount of lateral resistance because of this, yet it has minimal drag. Its concave allows it to be ridden as aggressively toe side as heel side. When used as designed riders exit turns as fast as they enter them.
SURE GRIP
4x grab areas are finished with a clear ‘sure-grip’ finish. It’s like skate deck tape!
CONCAVE
You’ve never seen this much concave! Don’t spray the water… Funnel it! Pushing water back crushes the bumps and increases hold! Concave also eliminates the need for a large board width… avoiding large transitions from heel side to toe side.
ABS TUCK RAIL
The Mako Pro features our new ABS tuck rail. This new profiled rail offers great bite at high speed and during transitions. The rounded shape is also easier on your body.

CENTER STANCE
The Mako excels when ridden with a hip forward (powerful) style of riding, with equal weight on both feet. The Mako is designed to be ridden off it’s rails, as it relys on it’s profile and bottom shape/concave for traction, not it’s fins. It has a huge amount of lateral resistance because of this, yet it has minimal drag. It’s narrowness allows it to be ridden as aggressively toe side as heel side. When used as designed, riders exit turns as fast as they enter them.
